Google puts up doodle to mark Bangladesh’s Independence Day

Desk

Global internet giant Google paid homage to Bangladesh’s independence by putting up a ‘doodle’ portraying a Royal Bengal Tiger in a red circle signifying the sun and river wrapped with green font.

Clicking on it will direct the user to search findings for ‘Bangladesh Independence Day 2015’

The doodle which is modelled after the national flag has been up since early on Thursday – Mar 26, the 44th Independence Day anniversary of Bangladesh.

The ‘Google doodle’ is the logo above the search box on the homepage. Google has been seen changing its ‘doodle’ to mark special international events or days, or anniversaries of important personalities.

The ‘doodle’ can be seen also in the Bangla version of the page (http://www.google.com.bd).

Google has been putting up ‘doodles’ since 1998. The internet giant also marked the day in 2013 by depicting a child waving the national flag with his father (hoisting a bigger flag) and mother, with the trio in a green background.
