BNP can't come out of negative politics: Quader

NF CORRESPONDENT Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP can't come out of negative politics still now. "We will understand that BNP is on the right track if they do politics following the vision of Awami League," he told a discussion at Dhaka University (DU) Teacher-Student Centre here. DU unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) arranged the discussion marking the Homecoming Day of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. BCL President Saifur Rahman Sohag and General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain and DU unit of BCL General Secretary Motahar Hossain Prince addressed the function, among others, with DU unit president Abid Al Hasan in the chair. In response to the remarks of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir that BNP has made a turnaround after declaration of 'Vision 2030', Obaidul Quader said, "BNP has made such a turnaround that their leaders and workers took stand against themselves". The AL general secretary said BNP leaders and workers now get locked into infighting and clash in presence of central leaders at rallies and discussions. Criticizing BNP, Quader said, "It's an instance of BNP of getting reinforced." He said after completion of the Padma bridge construction, the government will begin work of the second Padma bridge at Paturia-Douladia point. The country's development, Quader said, is not possible without continuation of the present government. He also urged the countrymen to cast their votes in favour of Awami League again in the next general election for continuation of the country's development.
