Ecnec approves Tk 2,744 cr for 9 projects

NF DESK: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) Monday approved a total of nine projects involving an overall estimated cost of Taka 2,744.44 crore including one for dredging Dhepa and Gorveswari River with Taka 327.27 crore. The approval came from the first Ecnec meeting of the new fiscal year (2020-21) held at the NEC Conference Room in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area with Ecnec chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair. 375 expatriate Bangladeshis die of corona in KSA

NF Reporter: A total of 375 expatriate Bangladeshis, including four doctors, have so far died of coronavirus or with its symptom in Saudi Arabia since the outbreak of the pandemic, said Bangladesh ambassador in Riyad Golam Moshi today. NEWS FLASH DESK: Bangladesh today exceeded 1,00000 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases as 3803 more people tested positive overnight. “The tally of infections has surged to 1,02292 after 3803 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the past 24 hours,” DGHS Additional Director General Prof Nasima Sultana told a virtual media briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the city. Bangladesh COVID-19 cases top 20,000, reports 15 more deaths
